In-home Veterinary Consultation in Atlanta
Pet quality of life assessment & guidance on comfort, pain management and what comes next.
Service Description
Our initial assessment brings compassionate guidance to the comfort of your home. Whether your pet is living with a chronic illness, has recently received a serious diagnosis or is experiencing changes that leave you worried about their quality of life, this appointment helps us establish what your pet and family needs are currently and how they may evolve over the next few days, weeks, months or even years. Available in a wide variety of locations, we can begin your in-home veterinary consultation in Atlanta proper or Decatur, or maybe swing west to Lithia Springs. Or perhaps your home is in beautiful Peachtree City. The beauty of our mobile services begins with our flexibility. If you have questions about the areas we serve in the Atlanta region, please give us a call! Once we have arrived, we begin with your pet and what you’ve been noticing. During the visit, we assess their comfort and daily functioning, review their medical history and medications, and discuss your concerns. We also talk about what caregiving looks like for you, including practical challenges, emotional concerns, and what feels manageable for you and any other family members and/or caregivers involved in your pet's well-being. Together, we explore the options that fit your pet’s needs. That may mean palliative care to manage symptoms and support comfort during illness, hospice care to provide guidance and preparation as the end of life approaches and family support services for stress management or coping with anticipatory grief. We may also discuss in-home euthanasia services and how we know when it is time to consider ending a pet's suffering. Most importantly, you do not need to choose between hospice and palliative care before booking and scheduling a consultation is not a decision to pursue euthanasia. It is simply a first step toward understanding your pet’s needs and making informed decisions with compassionate veterinary support. Bring your questions, even the difficult ones, and we will help you work through them. - Legal / Telehealth Note - Georgia law requires an in-person examination to establish a veterinarian-client-patient relationship before telehealth guidance can be provided. Pallium begins care with a comprehensive in-home hospice evaluation so that follow-up support can be offered safely and legally.
